Yeah, not a lot of folks taking the DIV III challenge. A lot of the DIV III leagues have no human players at all.

Honestly surprised my team is doing as well as they are!? I'm going to have pretty much the same team next year since I have no Seniors. But I'm thinking about red-shirting one of my bigs. I only have 2 bigs, so if I do red-shirt one it will likely kill me next season.

Abelardo Calderon is pretty good for a walk-on. Going to redshirt him?

Did a quick review of our opponents for next year (sans the three new teams we'll be getting).

As one of only two human controlled team, Central will certainly be a top contender.

Wittenberg is likely the team to beat. Their two strongest players are both JRs this year, so they will have a strong returning lineup. Also have some nice draft picks joining the squad. I could easily see them getting 25 wins next season...

Hiram will likely make a push. They have a very solid returning core, and bolstered that with a couple Juco recruits.

Emerson picked up a boatload of draft picks (10). Several look pretty strong. They have two strong returning Juniors, but that probably won't be enough without supporting staff. Still likely to finish on the top half of the board.

Depauw made some interesting picks. Also some decent returning players. Should do better this year as long as height holds up.

WPI should do better (can't do much worse). Only one real player will be graduating, and the #6 man will easily slot into his vacant position. The team will also be bolstered by the RS flexman Rodgers, so they should continue to have a solid 7 men. Some nice recruits, but they won't likely have a lot of impact as most of them will RS this season.

Half-way through the season, my predictions are looking pretty good so far. Emerson isn't in the top half yet, but still in striking distance. Although its looking less likely given their PD.

Top six are the teams I mentioned, plus Buena Vista has retained their position as best of the rest (#4) from last season.

Must have made a good half time adjustment. Quite a day for Castaneda. Three blocks against players who are bigger than him, and dominated my Center who is both bigger and a better rebounder! Very embarrassing game for my bigs today :(

Now you'll need to run up the school against Bates. DePauw should have little trouble with Ashland.

The 2016 All Walk On Team!!! I have 2 teams in different leagues, but I will only do this in VI.24, even when I am gone.

Point Guard: Bardley Buddle: Biddle has started 2 of his 4 years, and broke out this year, starting all 42 games for Purdue and averaging 12.2 points, 4.9 assists, and 1.2 steals. He collected 3 Game MVPs and shot 78.3% from the charity stripe. Quite a career for the 1 star walk on,

Shooting Guard: Scottie Whitaker: Whitaker was also brilliant in his senior year, starting 35 of his 41 games and averaging 11.8 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.0 steals, as well as 2 POTGs and 1.8 rebounds. Like most everyone, he is a one-star walk-on graduating at the end of this season.

Small Forward: Malik Bollinger: Bollinger, also a 1-star walk on senior, began starting when I took over the club and powered us into the D3 Playoffs. Starting at SF this year, he carried us, averaging 14.6 points and 6.1 rebounds on .495 shooting while getting 4 Game MVPs. He is one of the best walk ons you’ll see in D3.

Power Forward: Del Hager: Walk on PFs and Cs are very weak in VI.24, and he isn’t even the best example. Problems at Fitchburg State have caused him to be a rare 3-year walk-on starter, and he made strides this year, his last, enraging 8.8 points and 8.7 rebounds on 53.3% shooting. He even managed to win 2 Game MVPs, but, truth be told, he is nowhere near as good as the others.

Center: Jacob Dean: Ouch. He did mange to achieve prominence by being the only junior to make the starting Walk on Team (though there is an Honorable Mention player who’s a sophomore), but there his fame stops. The 93 SI, 7 POT guy averaged a meager 4.4 points, but had 5.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks on .566 FG%. Maybe he will improve next year.

Honorable Mention

Emiliano Lopez: Wow. He’s gonna be a 4-year starter... as a walk on. I would induct him into the HOF after he retires. As a sophomore, this 1-star recruit averaged 12.6 points and 4.3 rebounds, all great for a walk-on but godly for a sophomore. At this rate, he might get All-Conference as a senior. Just a prediction...

Matthew Messer: Enough with inspiring stories, he’s just another ho-him senior given his first chance to start. He did well (11.9 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 1.7 APG], but it was not enough to beat Whitaker.
