With the current Hungarian pool domination... are we there yet?

FISU world classic on flip Sunday would be a truly life-changing event.

Well, speaking for just myself, I say leave it the way it is, with the occasional additional features such as the added colorful commentary to the playback. Personally, I think if people want to get into the national and international side of things, there are a few professionally-based games out there that are always looking for more talent and there are a broad scope of international flavor as well.
I think our admin has done a fantastic job to this point, and I see no reason to change the basic premise of this particular game! It's based on the world of college recruiting/hoops and I say let it be, cousins, let it be. Thanks Steve.

I don't think ayone's talking about changing the premise of the game, it would more just be a fun space filler that gives us games to check out involving international players who are already in the game.

This thread has been running for some 5 odd years now. I didn't like the NT idea back then and I still don't much care for it now. I agree with Steve though, develop the pro game and add to the existing game. No need wasting time and effort on an NT which really has nothing to do with college basketball recruiting at all which this game seems to mimic very well as is.

FISU tournament would be the copy version of world classic from BrokenBat. It's 3 days even. It takes national teams, select lineups based on default algorithm and run the games. Hardwood is built on the code from BB.

FISU tournament fits the theme completely because it's tournament for national teams from universities.

I understand that some don't care but I think you kind of missed what we want here if you think it would change the game drastically. It would not change the game at all. It would be just a filler.

The new season started on Monday. Flip is over in the end of the Friday, always. In that weekend we can have FISU tournament on Sunday for example. It doesn't even be whole 3 days thing.

What Divac said.
Also it would relate to college recruiting in the sense that the teams would be made up of players we recruit and have on our college teams, so in that way it wouldn't have much less to do with it than the pro side, and would require much less to implement.

How about a counter proposal. An alumni tournament a la TBT, the summer league tournament that features alumni for various schools.

It could be set up like invitationals, and could happen after the flip before the preseason. Each team selects 2 players per position to represent the school in the TBT. Could exclude pro players, current or retired, and exclude walk-ons. Could limit it to players aged 40 or younger

Also a cool idea.
Would be cool if there was a way to make it more of a national event if impemented as opposed to just grouping teams into invitational tournaments.
Like a condensed version of the cup in broken bat in some way.
