Mar 12 2054: Thank You, Fans - by Roy The Rocket on October 6th, 2026

It's been a couple long seasons, but it seems that the Rockets have finally corrected their flight path and are shooting straight for the moon. After a short stint in DII they will be making their return to DI this following season. This is in big thanks to the fans who flooded Savage Arena every game and gave it their all, which led to the Rockets having a perfect 19-0 home record. Starting center Dylan Redmond was especially appreciative of the support as it showed in his play, this season he broke Toledo's all time single season Player Of The Game record with an astonishing 24 games. Redmond hopes to extend that number heading into tournament season. Thank you again to our loyal fans, and good luck to all in the upcoming tournament.


Mar 23 2051: Toledo AD - Warns of Dark Days Ahead - by Roy The Rocket on April 27th, 2026

As this season comes to a close, Toledo's AD has urged all the great and loyal fans of their program to hang tight as their Toledo Rockets begin an uphill battle for this upcoming season as their past recruiting efforts have shifted more to promote consistent success year over year in lieu of the recent short term rise and falls the program has experienced as of late. This new season will give the Rockets an opportunity to "reload" while also developing their young talent, which usually does not equal a lot of W's on the schedule, but Toledo's AD also went on record saying that it is always darkest before the dawn, and vows to turn this program around and get them back to the level of success that this program has grown accustom to. Go Rockets!


Dec 18 2049: Coach Perry Steps Down - by Roy The Rocket on February 1st, 2026

Live breaking news, as Coach Tyrell Perry and the Toledo Rockets have mutually agreed to part ways after an abysmal start to their conference play, losing 5 of their last 8 games. We reached out to Toledo's athletic director after the news, and he stated that a change was needed as they felt the current talent on the roster was underperforming, and they did not want to see it potentially become wasted without doing everything they can. New coach Colby "The Genius" McMullen stated he is very excited for this opportunity, and vows to bring Toledo back into it's glory days. Since taking over head coaching duties in 2036, longtime coach Tyrell Perry leaves Toledo with an impressive 390-224 record including a 42-3 season, along with 4 tournament appearances. We wish Coach Perry the best.


Dec 28 2045: Toledo, We Have a Problem - by Roy The Rocket on June 25th, 2025

As first reported by local WTGV, the Hardwood Online College Basketball association has officially launched a full on investigation looking into University of Toledo's athletic department in regards to their academic requirements relating to player eligibility. This comes on the heels of the recent news that newest UT commit Craig Packer has confirmed his commitment to join the Rockets next season as an incoming Freshman, when it was previously widely rumored that Mr. Packer would not meet the necessary academic requirements to attend any Division 1 college in the fall.

Head coach Tyrell Perry and current staff members at Packer's high school refused to comment, although when asked if there were any truth to these rumors, Mr. Packer did personally comment: "No time for degree's when you're shooting all these threes!". An odd comment to make, as Parker at this moment in time has shot just 27.8% from the 3 point line throughout his entire high school career while averaging 0.1 3PM a game.
