Jan 03 2036: Gaines and Russell to be Terminated after Season - by Coach Grizwlald on December 15th, 2023

According from numerous reports Arkansas State Men's Basketball coach Mickey Gaines and assistant coach Rich Russell will no longer be a part of the basketball program after the end of the season. Though Gaines and Russell were just hired at the beginning of the year new President of Basketball Operations Coach Grizwald stated that he was going to bring change and championships to the program. That change starts with a new coach as Gaines and Russell did not fit the program that Grizwald was trying to build. Arkansas State is now thoroughly searching the coaching market for suitable replacements. Jody Norman has been listed as a possible candidate. No word has been said as to whether the remaining assistant coaches will remain on staff.

Jan 03 2036: Arkansas State Hires New President of Basketball Operations - by Coach Grizwlald on December 15th, 2023

The Arkansas State Red Wolves have reportedly hired Coach Grizwald as their new President of Basketball Operations. "I plan on bringing strong leadership, winning and championships to this program!" said Grizwald in a press release. Grizwald played college basketball at Nebraska where he was then hired as an assistant coach after graduating. The Red Wolves are 14-9 in regular season thus far this season. Grizwald replaces John Furman who was fired after a sexual harrasment scandal.

Eric Graham came in Sunday night prepared to show the world what he is about after an arduous training session. He ended the game with 24 points and 12 assists shooting 4-5 from 3 point land. Arkansas came off a great win over the Terrapins with a score of 87-80 making their record as 11-4 and 4-1 in IV.2.
