With the hiring of new President Dennis Pyle Jr and Head Coach Colton Strickland, Western New Mexico is finally hoping to get over the hump and ascend to new heights not seen before in the history of the athletic program. Coach Strickland takes over a program that is in need of some success in order to keep up with the likes of programs that are in higher divisions. When asked about his situation that he was hired into, Coach said that he happy with talent and he will work his team to get to those new heights. Already at a 3 and 0 as a head coach of the Mustangs, he has fanbase hype flowing. The hope for the program to reinvigorate it life and attract new talent that will take them to the big dance. For now, all the fans and other programs can do is watch. Hopes are high and the wins are flowing. The endgame is that this trend will perservere and bring results.
