Press Releases:

Apr 01 2047: 2047 - by quinnkkelly on September 18th, 2025

By almost every measure, this season was a success for the Blue Tigers of Lincoln University MO. Promotion to DII and vastly outperforming expectations in the national tournament made for an exciting year for fans.

Matthew Browning continues to show off his coaching prowess, picking up his tenth tournament win as a head coach, elevating his tournament winning percentage to .769. That's difficult to beat.

While this was a great season, there is still much more to be done. V.1 brings a new challenge, one that we did not live up to the last time we were at that level. Conference titles, an appearance in the Division II tournament and promotion to Division I are still on the program's bucket list.

Dec 29 2046: Double Four-Star Class - by quinnkkelly on August 21st, 2025

Matthew Browning runs the show in the state of Missouri. Jeff Ricci and Toren Copeland, the top two in-state recruits have found their way to Jefferson City. Both players project to be impact starters right away in the freshman seasons, with hope to develop them into superstars for the early 2050s, and draft picks with long pro careers beyond that.

Mar 09 2045: Reflecting on 2045. - by quinnkkelly on May 20th, 2025

This one is difficult to write. We, at Lincoln University MO hold ourselves to high standards on the basketball court. We did not come near meeting those standards this season. This program doesn’t resemble a team that won a national championship just two years ago in the slightest. We apologize to our fans, donors, students and alumni.

We will be better. The only direction to go from a 4-37 season is up. We still have a national champion coach in Matthew Browning, and we will return almost 90% of our minutes from this season. We will also welcome a strong class of three redshirts into (or back into) the program in 2046. Justin Kaiser has looked particularly strong in his development and should pair well with Rob “Big Ron” Chamberlain to form a formidable PG rotation. We are also excited by the entry of PF/C Joel Morse into our program.

The future is still bright. We will never stop doing everything we can to bring Lincoln University MO basketball glory.

- 153.5 TPI (Highest in program history, 3rd in DIII)

What a year. On to V.1. We look forward to the challenge.

Sep 03 2037: The Great Advance - by quinnkkelly on March 8th, 2024

After a rather successful 2037 season, we at LUMO are not oblivious, and recognize that the current level of talent on the roster combined with the incoming recruiting class will not likely be able to maintain the level of competitiveness from this year.
With that said, we are looking forward to this opportunity to start fresh, and rebuild our program, constructing a roster capable of sustainably competing at a high level.
Head coach Matthew Browning has our full support and commitment to recruit and develop the players we need to achieve our goals, and we believe he has what it takes to be the man to lead this program to the promised land.
Geaux Tigers.
