In a school first, BJ Bohannon and Jeffrey Grimm both achieved first-team all-conference honors as a backcourt. In addition, Bohannon was named player of the year with his 20/3/3 season to go with excellent leadership from the sophomore captain. The future is bright for the Biting Beavers of Bluffton moving forward with a young core.

The end of the 2044 season also marks the end of the career for two of Bluffton's all-time greats. James Hicks topped off a stellar career by averaging 24 ppg and finishes as the program's #2 all-time scorer. Meanwhile, Arnold Sweat averaged a 19 and 9 and finishes as the program's #3 assist leader despite only playing 2 season's for the Biting Beavers. Both players were robbed of Player of the Year honors, but will go on to great careers in the Yugoslavian Leagues.

After underperforming all year, the Bluffton Biting Beavers completed their miracle run through the conference tournament. The conference title game was a nail biter throughout, but the Beavs held on for a 3 point win. Waiting for them in the national tourney is powerhouse Jackson State and their high powered offense. Bluff City wants all the smoke, but things could get dicey against the Tigers.

With his 39 points in a losing effort, Matthew Johnson continued to up his school record point total. Already over 3000 career points, Johnson is making sure that his record will stand until his son, fathered after his freshman season, suits up for the Beavers in 2054
