Aug 27 2048: Leo, It Is Your McCalling - by pruzupnext on November 14th, 2025

President UpNext says that Senior Leo McCall must take a huge step this year for this team to make a deep playoff run.

"We were on the brink of promotion last year, so we know what we are capable of doing," McCall said. "Losing some of the guys this year will be a change that we are going to have to get used to, but I think if we play Logger basketball, we will turn heads and make the push this season."

The Loggers finished 4th in the Conference, the highest under new leadership. If the Loggers want to make a run, they need the leadership from the Seniors and Upperclassmen.

Oct 13 2046: Toole Time in Tacoma - by pruzupnext on July 30th, 2025

Today marks a new era of Basketball in Tacoma. The new phrase the team will go by is "Toole Time."

Unfortunately, Demar Compton was let go due to his health issues. Puget Sound has agreed to pay him the remainder of his salary for the year to help cover his medical bills. "He will always be with us, but we want him to be as healthy as he can," Preston Quijano says.

Bruce O'Toole offers an excellent player development rating that will help shift Logger ball for the future.

We want everyone who is reading this to keep Demar Compton in your thoughts and prayers.

Jan 06 2046: Puget Sound Loggers on the Brink of Division II Promotion: A New Era of Logger Basketball - by pruzupnext on June 28th, 2025

Tacoma, WA – The Puget Sound Loggers men’s basketball program is making waves on the national stage, sitting on the cusp of a historic promotion from NCAA Division III to Division II. With momentum building on and off the court, the Loggers are proving they are ready for the next level.

Led by breakout star Josiah Cummings, the team has soared to new heights this season. Cummings has been a dominant force on both ends of the floor, averaging 17.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, and electrifying fans with his clutch performances and on-court leadership.

Complementing Cummings is the rapid rise of Deshawn Driver, whose development has been one of the most exciting storylines of the season. Once a role player, Driver has evolved into a dynamic two-way contributor, earning praise from coaches and scouts for his athleticism, court vision, and defensive tenacity.

The buzz around the Loggers extends beyond their current roster. The program has made a statement on the recruiting trail, securing commitments from two highly regarded three-star prospects: point guard Trent Moss, known for his elite ball-handling and floor general instincts, and small forward Irwin Darby, a versatile wing with a smooth shooting touch and strong defensive upside.

“Our program is growing faster than ever,” said Head Coach Demar Compton. “These guys are setting a new standard. The commitment we’ve seen—from players, recruits, and our community—shows that Puget Sound basketball is ready to take that next step.”

With a potential Division II promotion on the horizon, excitement in Tacoma is palpable. The Loggers are not only chasing history—they're building a foundation for sustained success at a higher level of competition.
