Albright Lions Roll Past Saint Mary’s for Third Straight Win
Reading, PA — The Albright Lions continued their surge on Wednesday night, cruising to a dominant 77–48 victory over the Saint Mary’s (MN) Cardinals to secure their third consecutive win.
With the win, Albright improves to 12–10 overall and 7–5 in conference play, keeping themselves firmly in the hunt as the season pushes forward.
Junior center Lloyd Clark delivered a commanding performance and was named Player of the Game, controlling the paint from the opening tip. Clark finished with 21 points, including 16 in the first half, while shooting an efficient 9-for-12 from the field. He added 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and — perhaps most impressively — zero turnovers in a complete, mistake-free outing.
“Lloyd set the tone early,” said Falk. “When your center plays that efficient and takes care of the ball, it lifts everyone else. He was locked in.”
Albright’s defense smothered Saint Mary’s throughout the night, holding the Cardinals to just 48 points and limiting clean looks as the Lions steadily built a comfortable lead.
“Our energy has been different during this streak,” Clark said after the game. “We’re trusting each other more, defending harder, and playing our style of basketball.”
With momentum on their side, the Lions will look to keep the win streak alive as conference play intensifies.
“We’re not satisfied,” Falk added. “This group believes we can keep climbing.”
