It is a nice feature but the positioning of the OFC in the box score needs to be changed.

I'm used to looking at the box score like this:

FT PTS Off Reb AST STL BLK TO PF

In my opinion the OFG should not be in the position it is in now. It should be like this:

FT PTS Off Reb AST STL BLK TO PF OFG

Looking at the OFG (which I really don't care about as much as the other ones) in the position it is in now is unfamiliar and distracting. At the end would definitely be much better.

Your main reasoning is that it's new? It's how it is now because that's how it is on the statistics pages of both players and teams.

I do agree with Blackbeard that the way it reads right now, it is a bit confusing and would be better served after the PF item or even after the FD. That way, the stats can be read at a glance without confusion. Steve, I very much like the OFG category! Fantastic idea! I just feel it would be better at the end of the box score instead of where it is currently positioned. I hope you'll take these suggestions under consideration. I for one am not asking you to remove the category, just move it over a bit, it this can be done. Thanks!

My main reason Mr Gards is that I just do not like it in that position that it is presently in. It distracts my perusal of the box score and that will never change.

Plus it is kind of a non stat for my player such as how many assists, how many rebounds, turn overs, etc that the player I'm looking at has done in the game. You are not required to move the curser down to see a little pop up that appears for turn overs and all the rest. Having to do that for OFC is a distraction that takes away from the need to just take a quick look and not worry about things like OFC. Who cares what the opposing player did. If I want to know that then I can look at the opposing players stats can't I? But sure, folks want it and thats cool with me, maybe just move it over?

Positioning in the real world is where its at, and that OFC in my opinion belongs after maybe the +/- or better yet after the FD (Fouls Drawn) but obviously before the SC.

In advertising, position means everything because if something is out of position and doesn't match the formatting of all of the stat titles then it is distracting and just doesn't look good.

So in that regard, all of the titles: FT PTS Off Reb AST STL BLK has one space between them and when you come to OFC it has like 3 or 4 spaces between it which does not present a good look. Which I don't like.

Another reason might be that I just don't really think OFC is even necessary, but it's there so at least make it conform to the look of everything else because right now it looks out of place.

But I am sure that others may not not agree and thats fine, we all have an opinion and thats mine. Cheers.

But like I said, as it is currently formatted, it does match how other pages are set up (the stats pages of both players and teams)...

I get your point about positioning being important. It does throw things off. But all new things take some time to get used to. Why would this be different? Not liking something just because it's new...I don't know what to say.

And no, a player's OFG is not simply the same as the field goal makes and attempts of the player at the opposing corresponding position. For example, some teams play a lot of zone so a player may defend the SF on one position but the SG on the next. Players sub in at different times so a defender may defend the starter one possession but the backup on another. Again, not something you can glean from the previous version of box score.

EDIT: And yes, you have your opinion. I'm not saying it's wrong or bad. Just...trying to point out some things so that maybe some others can learn.

I guess it's more that for myself personally, I don't think it is of much use when I study previous box scores to look for opposing team tendencies and such.

That's on me but I do understand that others like it (probably more than don't like it) and I respect that, just like I respect your opinion and comment.

You are one of the top players in the game in my opinion and I thank you for the comments and opinions. Thanks again and I wish you all the best. Cheers:-)

baller50 - OFG in the box score was added in the same location as it appears in the game log.
