Mar 24 2039: Owls of '39 - by Frankebasta on June 25th, 2024
in 2039, for the very first time in school's history, the Rice Owls reach their best result both in Regular Season (2nd place and promotion), and the Top16 in the Division 2 Tournament.
Amazing accomplishment by an otherwise underwhelming and smallish team:
JR PG Savage 6'1"
JR SG Stratton 6'
SR SF Blanton 6'3½"
JR PF Hodge 6'6"
SR C Dent 6'8"
Oct 28 2026: 1st place! (for real this time) - by Frankebasta on July 9th, 2022
on day3 2055, Rice is on 1st place of Division I for RPI with a score of 0.773
All the credit goes to Coach Ricci, and to the Game Engine as well
Feb 20 2025: Rice hires Ricci - by Frankebasta on April 23rd, 2022
Breaking news from Houston:
Gary Ricci will lead the team for the last stretch in fight for the promotion! Coach Diggs has been suddenly dismissed after losing 3 of the last 5 games, risking to fail.
Diggs took all the blame for those failures, which shows his character, but he couldn't hide his shortcomings in game management. Offence skills of 2, and a 3 in Defence are not enough for a Division I head coach.
Coach Ricci, on the other hand, has an excellent reputation, skills of 15 and 16 respecticely, and he's also excellent in Players development.
Last - BUT NOT LEAST - he's got the same surname of the school's President.
Nepotism?
we think.... not
Coach Ricci is a solid D1 coach!
