Press Releases:

Mar 12 2051: Coastal Carolina crowned champions - by Maxsmosy on April 24th, 2026

After a rough regular season from the Chanticleers, they are able to pull off 4 huge upsets in 4 days to win the conference tournament. Coastal Carolina finished conference play as the 8 seed with a 17-13 record. In the conference tournament, they were able to handle the number 9 and 1 seed. However, in the 1 seed game, coastal Carolina's best player and leading scorer, Corey Hagen went down injured and would not be able to play for the rest of the tournament. Despite that, Coastal Carolina was able to handle the number 5 seed and go down to the wire with the number 3 seed in the championship. With the shot clock turned off, tied 93-93, redshirt freshman Vincent cope brought the ball up the court and fired a deep three which went in as time expired and won the Chanticleers the championship. What a year.

Mar 12 2050: Chaos for the Chanticleers - by Maxsmosy on February 26th, 2026

After finishing 13th in the conference during the regular season with a 12-18 record, the Chanticleers pull off magic to upset the 4th, 5th, and 1st seeds in the conference tournament. Coastal Carolina will now compete in the conference championship against Louisiana-Monroe.

Down 4 points with a minute left in the game against University of Maine at Farmington (1st seed), the Chanticleers rattle in a three pointers to cut the lead to 1 point. After the Beavers miss the front end of a one and one, Lonnie Moore hits a clutch three with 16 seconds remaining to put CCU up 2. This surge helps lift Coastal Carolina past the Beavers and onto the championship.
