The #11 Austin Peay Governors came from behind late in the second half and ultimately upset the #6 Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks 65-62 in the first round of the conference playoff tournament. Tyson Clarke received the player of the game award and led the way for the Governors with 24 PTS, 4 Rebounds, 1 Assist, and 1 Steal. The governors look to play the #3 Humboldt State Lumberjacks in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.

After a 20-21 season Austin Peay decided to let coach Ridgeway go." We would like to thank Coach Ridgeway for helping us be better than when he arrived but we felt it was time for a fresh start."
The new coach will be introduced tomorrow in a school press conference so stay tuned.

Austin Peay beat Witchita State 101-93 to advance and play North Park next round. Shapiro led the way with 26 points along with Jarvis with 22. Both shooting 4-8 from three.
